Hyonosen is the tallest mountain within Hyogo Prefecture. The dyanamic mountain spreads from the center and is called the roof of Hyogo. From the center to the base of the mountain is a 2.1 km course. The snow quality and the location is ideal for skiing. The ski resort has three courses including the romance, panorama and family making it convenient for those who are beginners or advanced. A slope for the basic ski examination is also available. The first ever ski racing school in the Kansai region is also available, and suited towards those looking for professional training. A mark area is also available and the location is perfect for those who want to improve their skiing and snowboarding level. Gokaku no Yu is a hot spring known for its healing properties for nerve and muscle pain, joint disease and other conditions that can be found throughout the body. The water includes sodium nitrate and is low temperature and was given this name after the story of a woman who healed her eczema and succeeded in a job search (gokaku meaning success) after bathing here.
Within the facility there is a produce section, where local farmers come to sell their fresh vegetables and fruits. Other items including Tajima and Yabu specialty products as well as Yappu items which are also sold.
Hachibuse nabe is a delicious hot pot dish that can be enjoyed in the Hachibuse Highland area in Sekinomiya. The dish contains duck and fresh vegetables making it the perfect dish to enjoy after a day out on the slopes.
