The MINAMI-TAJIMA GREENRIDE 2023 is back in full force for the second year on Sunday, May 28th, convening cycling enthusiasts from all over the Kansai region and beyond to enjoy the fresh greenery of Minami-Tajima while riding along some of the most emblematic natural and mining sites the region has to offer.
Two cycling courses are being prepared for riders of all levels. The first is the ‘Ore Road’ Course: a challenging 116km long route for intermediate to advanced cyclists on one of the most important modern industrialization heritage roads in Japan, traversing Asago City and Yabu City. The second is the newly established ‘Ikuno Ginzanko Sightseeing Course’ along the beautiful dammed Ginzan Lake in Ikuno Town, Asago City, of approximately 35 km for beginner cyclers. Both courses will start from the historic site of Ikuno Silver Mine.
Four aid stations will be set up along the routes. Local specialties and carefully prepared bento lunch boxes will be served.
